This glass mezuzah case is hand made by Kay Rosenwasser of Calisherglass Contemporary Glass Studio near Dallas, TX. Royal blue dichroic glass sparkles in this mezuzah and will shift color with hues of aqua and turquoise in varying light. It is embellished with a 22 karat gold shin embedded into the surface of the glass. The glass is semi transparent, allowing your scroll to be slightly visible in the case. The process of making each mezuzah in Kay's collection includes fusing multiple layers of glass together at temperatures exceeding 1500 degrees F. The glass is then carved, polished and reheated to over 1300 degrees to enhance its depth of color and shine. It is finished by permanently mounting the glass on an acrylic base for placement indoors or out.
